Five Star Sound was established in 2005 by owner and DJ Tony (Rebel- T) who was born and raised in Portland Jamaica. His motivation and inspiration came from his Jamaican roots, listening to sounds like Stone love; Renaissance, Killamanjaro and Tony Matterhorn just to name a few. After his relocation to Columbus Georgia from Miami Florida in 2004, he discovered that Columbus had no Caribbean music available. Columbus a military town that consists of different cultures including West Indians, but lack the entertainment and excitement of music and the nightlife that West Indians enjoy. Rebel-T combined his love for music, his roots and the need for entertainment to bring together his sound making Columbus the birthplace. Five Star Sound quickly gain popularity in the Caribbean community playing in Columbus, Atlanta, Miami and Jamaica at radio stations and clubs. Rebel-T style of music includes Reggae, Hip Hop, R&B and Soca bringing entertainment where it’s needed and striving to bring good entertainment to you.
