I started taking pictures on an old Canon AE-1 because I was desperately seeking a creative outlet. I always thought of myself as the "technical one", hopelessly good at math and computer science, without an ounce of artistic ability. I quickly found that I wasn't lacking an artistic flair, but simply needed experience and time. I signed up for photography school and haven't looked back. Life is so much more than a series of simple moments strung together. Life is about connection: to the people we love, to the places that keep us grounded, and to the things we are passionate about doing. I believe photography's purpose is to capture that connection and to preserve it, and to share it with the world.
