When you are shopping for your wedding entertainment there are several factors besides budget to consider. Certainly the DJ best suited for your wedding would be one with a wide scope of musical knowledge. A DJ does do more than play music, so look for one who also has the ability to plan out your event, direct the flow and have helpful tips that will assist you with making your ideas come to life. When you hire a DJ or any other wedding vendor, *remember*, they work for you, not the other way around. Your wedding vendor should be able to tell you what they can and cannot do within the confines of their profession and make suggestions about how something can be accommodated or not. A few other things to take into account are; why should you take the time to have a meeting with a DJ just so he can quote you a price. Prices should be posted on their website or should be easy enough to request over the phone. There are some factors that may greatly adjust a price quote, but a base rate should be attainable without a meeting to get it. Your time is as important as the vendor, if not more so - you're planning a Wedding! Lastly, and this might just might be me, but when I see "Premier", "Voted/Rated #1" or "Best in the Northwest", I wonder, "really?" Where did those votes come from, and if they have to say they're "something", does that really mean it's true. The important thing to remember is that not all wedding entertainers are created equal. Look for the one DJ that best fits your style and the way you visualize your wedding entertainer to be.
